## Study:
This data is part of the practical course BIO407 2026 at the University of Zurich, titled ‘Advanced Microscopy: From preparation to data and visualization’.
## Group:
– Nahuel Wegmann, ORCID ID:0009-0004-1345-624X
– Nyah Willmott
– Patricia Beck
## Study Component:
Job: Scanning Electron microscopy
Task: “Prepare dry samples and image them using a scanning electron microscope”.
## Sample:
Pollen of Corylus avellana, Creatine, Ancistrus cirrhosus baby, Granola, Capaea hortensis material initially collected for the study.
## Specimen:
Samples were mounted on a SEM stub with conductive aluminium and 10 nm platinum coated at an angle with rotation was deposited on the surface of the sample.
## Image Acquisition:
Scanning Electron microscopy
Imaging instrument: SEM-Gemini 450. SEM 5 kV and 20 kV acceleration voltage, SE2 and InLens detector. Details to the image acquisition are found on the images themselves.
Image dimensions:
Pixel size: on the image
