Data mediated design practices. Curated collection of research cases and experiments

This record contains a collection of published research products (articles, conference papers) describing applied research cases and experiments connected with the concept of “data mediated design practices”. The concept is understood as firstly described in the doctoral thesis defended by the author (2025) and available in University of Bologna’s repository: https://amsdottorato.unibo.it/id/eprint/12150/ . 

The dataset primarly serve as an input for case study analysis described in Section 2 of the currently in press book – Ascari, M. (2026). Design within urban (eco)systems. Exploring interconnected practices between humans, data and the environment. Bologna University Press. In press. – and has to be intended as integral part of the book itself. 

The .csv table contains metadata of research products (e.g. articles, conference papers) and categories functional to the aforementioned analysis (Case Scope, Adopted tools and practices, Adopted design approach, Data role, Data characteristic, Cluster, Category/Output).
