This repository contains Princeton Ocean Model (POM) output fields and processing scripts for the study “Extreme Mesoscale Eddy Dominance in the Caspian Sea: Depth-Resolved Eddy Energetics, Baroclinic Conversion, and Implications for Oil Spill Dispersal” (submitted to Progress in Oceanography).
Includes: Eddy Kinetic Energy (EKE), Mean Kinetic Energy (MKE), eddy dominance parameter (φ), energy budget terms (CBT, CBC, WWork), and Python scripts for computation and visualization.
Model configuration: 3-km horizontal resolution, 35 sigma layers, ERA5 atmospheric forcing, year 2018 simulation.
Full documentation and usage instructions are provided in README.txt.
