A compiled database of global offshore wind farms, offshore wind turbine models, and European foundation installation vessels, assembled from publicly available sources. It underpins the fleet- and foundation-trend analysis in Gunawan et al. (2026), “Evaluation of hybrid monopiles as next-generation foundations for offshore wind turbines”.
The workbook contains the following sheets:
OWF: 3,446 offshore wind farm entries. Fields: project name and alternative names, country, status, category or leasing round, region, full commissioning date, website, developer, operator, installed capacity (MW), turbine model, turbine rating (MW), number of turbines, foundation type (bottom-fixed/floating and sub-type), sea name, area (km²), distance from shore (km), water depth (m), and monopile dimensions where available (diameter (m), length (m), weight (t), driving length (m)). Separate source-reference columns are given for the general, water depth and foundation data.
WTG: 374 offshore wind turbine models, with rated power (MW), manufacturer, commercial status, introduction year, prototype year and supporting references.
EU FIV: 37 European foundation installation vessels, with operator, build or delivery year, market, crane capacity (t) and reference.
General: compilation details, citation, licence and disclaimer.
Data are compiled from publicly available sources and provided as is, with no warranty as to completeness or accuracy. Each record carries the source references used.
