To fulfil the aims of the SmartTogether research initiative, a total of seven permanent pilot plots were established for ecological surveying (WP2), dendrochronological analyses (WP3), near-real-time monitoring of forest vitality (WP4), and stakeholder education (WP5). The spatial distribution of these permanent pilot plots within the country’s borders and their positions within stands are illustrated in the supplied Figure 1. Administratively, six are located in the Srem region, and one is in the Bačka region. The following table shows the sample plot ID (SP), forest management unit, compartment, and stand where the plots are situated, along with their exact geodetic coordinates and the tree species equipped with sensors for monitoring.
SP | Forest management unit | Compartment | Stand | Longitude | Latitude | Altitude [m] | Monitored tree species |
